Hi! We are the Wilcox Family

Mark and I have been married for 13 years. We met at ages 14 and 15 in high school but were just friends for a few years before we started dating. During our time as friends, I remember praying God would give me a man like Mark (not knowing Mark was also praying God would give him a girl like me!) and finally we realized God had answered our prayers by bringing us together!

Our oldest daughter Adra is creative, loves the outdoors, and is an absolute sweetheart! Then we have Adelle who is silly, artistic, and adventurous. I love to see the world through her eyes! Next God blessed us with our incredible son Logan who is hardworking, loves to build, & wrestle with daddy. Oakley is our rainbow baby! She’s an energetic, girlie toddler who loves to dance and sing, and is such a joy!! We have a baby in heaven who we lost in 2021 to a missed miscarriage. His name is Sage. Our hearts will never be the same since loosing him, but God is good through it all.

Throughout our marriage we always talked about adopting. It was actually something we pursued in 2020 but felt God saying “not yet.” Then in 2022 when Oakley was a baby, I wanted to get homestudy approved but Mark said not yet! That changed this spring and we prayed about how and where to start with the adoption process and with the help of friends and the leading of God, we began that journey! I was hyper-focused on getting home study approved, almost like I knew we needed to be approved fast because there was a child out there that we needed to be ready for. And sure enough there was. In October, on Adelle’s birthday, (another amazing story for another time) we were chosen by an amazing expectant mother to adopt her son, who is due in March. So much more to share about this but that’s the shorter version!
